Haiti Missions with Family Health Ministries

Teays Valley Presbyterian Church has enjoyed a twelve year history of working with Family Health Ministries in Durham, NC.  In 2003, Kathy and David Walmer visited our church and spoke about their ministry.  Since that time, we have financially supported their mission providing needed medical supplies and other hygiene items.  We have also had four members of our church travel on nine different trips to Haiti.

Family Health Ministries is a Christian-based, non-profit organization with the mission to “support Haitian communities in their efforts to build and sustain healthy families.”

Please visit their site at www.familyhm.org for more information about Family Health Ministries, their mission travel, their work in Haiti, and other ways to get involved with their ministries.

“Three of our TVPC members traveled this summer to Haiti for the June 10-18 Blanchard Clinic Medical Trip.  Laura Lees, Chris Key, and Bob Hansen worked that week supporting the Family Health Ministries medical mission in Haiti.  They also traveled to Fondwa during the week to visit the Family Health Ministries orphanage and school, and spent a night at the FHM guest house in Leogane.
