“Understanding Addiction with Hope and Grace”
Worship Service • Sunday, April 28th • 10am

Children’s Church and Childcare will be Available During the Service

Teays Valley Presbyterian Church is inviting the community to attend a special Worship Service, “Understanding Addiction with Hope and Grace”, on Sunday, April 28 at 10:00 am.  The purpose of the service is to increase understanding and awareness about substance abuse and recovery, as well as ways to bring hope and healing to members of our community.

Pastor Steven Little, the Huntington Area Recovery Coordinator for AmeriCorps Vista and the pastor of City Church Huntington, will deliver the morning message.  With over ten years in recovery, Steven “…has a passion to see our communities transformed one healthy relationship at a time.”

Terry Collison, Director of First Steps Wellness and Recovery Center, a program of the Coalition of the Homeless in Huntington, will be leading the prayer and sharing the scripture for the service.  Terry is a Faith Leader on the Cabell County Quick Response Team and attends City Church Huntington.

There will be three “Minutes for Mission” speakers who will share their experiences from different perspectives:  a person in recovery, a family member, and a physician.  During our hospitality time following the service, community representatives will be available to answer questions and share information about resources and services.

Teays Valley Presbyterian Church is located at 5339 Teays Valley Road in Scott Depot, WV.  For more information, you may call the church office at 304-757-6073.
