Teays Valley Presbyterian Church has always been a “mission-directed” church, and throughout its history, the mission statements have reflected our desire to respond to the community.

In 1984 a vision for a more comprehensive ministry to the elderly was realized.  TVPC sponsored an application to HUD to compete for available funds.  Teays Valley Manor, Inc., the church-sponsored, non-profit corporation that owns the facility, was awarded a $2,000,000.00 construction loan and rent subsidies for 42 apartment units for handicapped and elderly individuals.  The Manor opened its doors to renters in 1987 and has been filled at or near capacity since then.

Today, nine members of Teays Valley Presbyterian Church form a Board of Directors for the Manor.  The Board continues to oversee the operations of the Manor and works to provide a comfortable living environment for its residents.
